I first met my beautiful wife, Maggie, in 1968 as a sophomore. She was always “that girl” and I never thought I’d have a chance. It would be 45 years before we had our first “real date” after two hockey games, that “first kiss” and well the rest as they say is history. We had been friends in high school and we reconnected throughout the years at reunions or the restaurant. But at the end of October of 2014, she posted she had an extra center ice hockey ticket and I jumped at the chance to spend the evening together. One game would lead to a second, then dinner, then being inseparable. By November we knew, by December we were engaged and on Valentine’s Day 2015 we would marry. A whirlwind romance. But at 60 years of age to find such great happiness was an amazing gift. Now seven years later life is as good today as it was that first evening. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.
