Bruce Kevin Anderson
Bruce Kevin Anderson, 61, died April 30, 2015, in Portland Oregon. A memorial service will be held at 11a.m. Thursday, May 14th, 2015 at Mt. Scott Funeral Home, Portland Oregon followed by 2 p.m. service at Willamette National Cemetery with Military honors.
He was born Jan 27 1954, in Geneva, Illinois to Earl and Jeanette Anderson. Bruce went to school in Lake Oswego, Oregon and graduated High School at Lake Ridge in 1971, studied at Portland State University and Clackamas Community College.
Bruce served his country from Sept 1972 to August 1977, during the Vietnam War working in the Air Force. He was stationed in Thailand, where he was exposed to Agent Orange. After his years in the service he and spouse Amelia came back to Oregon. His interests included family, music, playing guitar, and reading.
Bruce worked for U.S Bank for 21 years. It was a true all American story of starting out as a electrician and working his way up the corporate ladder to become one of the Vice Presidents for U.S Bank. He also worked for Albertina Kerr Centers for 9 years as a Facilities Manager and he enjoyed every minute of it. In addition to his work experience, Titles he has held, Director and Vice President, Mt Scott Funeral Home, Portland, OR.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his parents, Earl and Jeanette Anderson, Brother Dwight Anderson, Sister Jeanie White-Butler. Sons Eric and Jack Anderson and Daughter Jennifer Gerber; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by spouse Martha Amelia Anderson, daughter Jean Anderson, and Grandson Kevin.
